On 20 November 2020, the Government released the Retirement Income Review final report, which confirms “the Australian retirement income system is effective, sound and its costs are broadly
sustainable.” However, it found the system is complex and highlighted evidence suggesting there are areas where the system can be improved. In this edition of The Frontier Line, Principal Consultant David Carruthers, summarises the post-retirement considerations of the report.
